With the summer months coming to a close, I can’t help but reflect upon how grateful I am to have met and documented so many kind folks here in the Topsail Beach area. I’ve explored the woods and the beach for lots of photo sessions and captured the sweetest candid moments of couples and families just being themselves.
As we enter a new season, I’ve made an effort to flex my creative brain and come up with some more out-of-the box ideas for my future sessions. One of my scheduled beach shoots was rescheduled due to rain last week, so it provided the perfect opportunity to test out one of those ideas with my family (between the storms, of course!)
Introducing painting sessions!
I truly believe getting messy and letting imaginations run wild are essential to childhood and this was so much fun.
Here is what you can expect when you book a painting session with me:
- A canvas for each family member who would like to participate
- All (non-toxic) paint, brushes, water, etc. provided
- A little demo for the kiddos + timeline so they don’t have too much time to transition into painting themselves (check my toddler in these photos, ha!)
- Non-toxic bug spray and waters provided
- You get to take your artwork home! Or, if you’d rather wait until it sets and dries, you are more than welcomed to leave them with me and I will deliver them (locals, only) at a later date.
- All the benefits of one of my normal sessions
In addition to my usual session-prep guidance, you’ll also receive a painting session guide upon booking to help you best prepare for a smooth experience.
If painting just isn’t your thing, that’s fine, too! I’m all about documenting families doing what they love. Want me to join you for a hike? A fishing day? Bike ride? You get the idea.
This is an awesome bonding experience for couples as well.
I’ve already started planning with a couple families who would like to paint together and can’t wait to get creative. Cheers!
